AUSTIN GLASS Since 1987

Upgrade your windows with

Cyclone Safety Glass.

The 3 main causes of damage from big storms and cyclones are:-

structural failure    -     flying debris    -     breaking glass.

The best protection for your windows is to board them up, but fitting heavy ply has its own problems; installation is very difficult or impossible for many people; damage to the surrounds; the amount of time it takes to get it done and finally, maybe the worst, removal every time there is a false alarm.

A practical alternative is to have your glass changed to hardened Cyclone Safety Glass.

If you keep your existing glass do you really want to be there next time?

Cyclone Safety Glass is much stronger than normal glass and it is thicker too, so you can usually upgrade the strength of your existing glass by 5 or 6 times.

It has a very powerful resistance to objects striking it.

If you have been through a cyclone or near-miss cyclone, you may have seen window or door glass bending under the high wind load.

Should this standard glass break, large chunks of razor-sharp glass will fly through the house cutting down anything or anyone in its path.

Cyclone Safety Glass fights back against the pressure, but even IF, it too finally failed, it’s designed to disintegrate into very small particles.

They will not cause the terrible damage of razor-sharp shards of glass.

The process is as simple as calling to get a quote.

We can usually upgrade a large standard aluminium window for around $395, a whole house for less than $5,000. It’s up to you to decide how much protecting your home and your family is worth.

Call your insurance company too and request a premium reduction as your home will now be much less likely to sustain the damage that would otherwise occur.

Put if off until later?

To encourage you to act now (and spread our work load) we offer a reduced rate in the off season. In any case, you will appreciate that we must work on a “first-come-first-served” basis and there is little chance we can help you just before the next cyclone hits.

We really recommend you act now. Call 4725 444 and you’ve made a good decision.

Having said that, we can arrange to spread payments over time if necessary, so ask about a payment plan. You will find we are very sympathetic to the difficulties faced by many home owners.

How to go about it.

To save your time and ours (and keep costs down) we do all our quotes over the phone, fax or email.

All we need to know is the approximate sizes of your windows. You don’t need to be an expert.

Just tell us which room and give a brief description. We will know, close enough, the size and as small size changes do not affect the price, we don’t need to come out at this stage.

(We have been doing this for more than 20 years, so we know what to do.)

Once you have decided to protect your home, we arrange a site visit while you take care of approving the quote and deposit details. Together we can work through any potential difficulties and talk about access and timing etc.

So long as the windows are approximately what we discussed, we won’t change the price or add any "extras". We don't nit pick over variations.

About a week or so later, the tradesman will arrive with your new glass. The job will generally be completed within 24/48 hours. For smaller homes, it is often the same day.

From 7am to 4pm call 4725 4444 or email sizes and contact information to info@austinglass.com.au

Outside those hours, just email us and we will respond the next day.
